1. What is KAS? - KaleidAScope, Inc. is a private non-profit 501(C)(3), that provides Knowledge, Advocacy and Support for individuals on the Autism Spectrum.

2. When was KAS founded? -KalediAScope, Inc was founded by Janet Pawlowski in 2005. 

3. What is Waiver Services (HCBS)? - Waiver services, also known as Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), are state-specific Medicaid programs that allow individuals to receive long-term care services in their homes or communities instead of nursing homes, funded through a federal waiver. 

4. Who can benefit from these services? - Our programs are designed for teens and adults alike that are diagnosed on the autism spectrum.

5. How are the services individualized? - Every individual receives an individualized plan developed in collaboration with parents, caregivers, educators, and our specialized team. We use ongoing assessments to adapt interventions based on progress and emerging needs.

6. What type of therapies are available? - We offer a range of therapies, including speech and language, occupational, sensory integration, and behavioral support. These are chosen based on the unique profile of each child.

7. How to enroll? - Enrollment is straightforward. Please contact our support team to schedule an initial assessment. During this consultation, we’ll discuss the needs and how our services can be tailored to the individual. 

8. How do you measure progress? - Progress is monitored through ongoing assessments, regular feedback sessions, and measurable academic and social milestones. We adjust our approach based on the individual’s evolving needs.

9. What role do parents and teachers play in the process? - Collaboration is key. Parents and teachers are actively involved in developing and implementing individualized plans. Regular meetings and progress updates ensure that everyone is aligned in supporting the child/individuals growth.

10. Are the services offered during school hours? - Our programs can be integrated into the school day and supplemented with after-school sessions, ensuring flexible support that fits each family’s schedule.
